CONCEPTUAL THINKER, GRAPHIC DESIGNER & PRODUCTION ARTIST EXTRAORDINAIRE

I am trained in the field of graphic design, specializing in print and retail. I can take projects from concept to completion - 
or anywhere in between. I’ve worked in both the agency and corporate settings, and have owned my own business since 2010.
I’m a mom to two adorable kiddos, super-fan of cookies & am a lover of traveling, sleep, NPR and a good cocktail.

ABOUT ME

January 2010 - Present

Sole proprietor and freelance designer available for graphic design, creative consultation and production services.
Able to manage any task from concept development to design execution to production.
Partners closely with printers to source estimates and materials.
Able to consult in developing strategic ideas and project calendars.

Clients include Sunglass Hut, Pearle Vision, LensCrafters, Maui Jim Sunglasses,
Alliance Integrative Medicine, Queen City Marcom, key2BMe and The Boy Scouts of America.

Senior Designer, SUNGLASS HUT
January 2007 - July 2010

Lead creative designer on the Sunglass Hut marketing and visual merchandising
team which supports a retail chain of approximately 1,600 retail stores. 
Followed all projects through from concept to completion, including brainstorming, 
managing internal approvals, obtaining translations and preparing final artwork files. 
Communicated with brand partners in Italy and the UK to ensure consistency
of materials and obtain approval from major luxury brands. Partnered with
global creative agency based out of Australia to develop campaigns that
suit in-store marketing. Ensured consistent use of new brand identity across multiple
consumer and internal touch points. Managed creative intern and art directed freelancers. 
Managed photoshoots for in-store and web site materials.

Graphic Designer, Luxottica Retail
April 2005 - January 2007

Graphic designer on a shared services team supporting various brands including, LensCrafters,
Pearle Vision and Sunglass Hut.Followed all projects through from concept to completion,
including brainstorming, managing internal approvals, obtaining translations and preparing final artwork files.
Reviewed all color proofs and samples for accuracy and attended press checks as necessary.

Graphic Designer, Willow Creative Group
March 2004 - April 2005

Supported and led client concept discussions. Managed all projects from initial concept to final
completion stage. Provided management and brought structure to internal creative department.

Clients included The Art Academy of Cincinnati, Avery Graphics and Ethicon-Endo Surgery.

Creative Intern, WonderGroup
June 2003 - March 2004

Developed internal promotional materials. Develop materials to pitch new client work. Prepared final art files to go to printer.

Clients included Chupa Chups, Evenflo and Kellogs.

SKILLS

Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. Proficient in production related tasks.
Adept at managing print vendors and reviewing proofs for color accuracy. High performer in
a creative team environment. Experienced on both the client and agency sides of creative development.
Strong knowledge of visual merchandising, retail design and trend patterning.

Art Academy of Cincinnati - BFA in Communication Arts, Suma Cum Laude.
Vice President of student AIGA chapter.

I am based in the Cincinnati / Dayton, Ohio area, the land of Skyline Chili and Graeter’s Ice Cream -
